My newest Ballerine Dancer, inspired by Edgar Degas , Ballerine sketches. Just a quilt sketch. First I draw the outline with a black pencil, and I use fabric pen in black, and some tetxtile rayon. I fixed it under a sheet of porchment paper, with ironing. I made the quilt sandwich, here I have used polyfill, so the stitches are very noticeable, expecially the forms, shapes like bubbles, and lines. Available here

Edgard Dégas inspired mini fiber art quilt. I have always been keen on the simple sketches. I have decided to make some simple sketched style quilt. This quilt is  a part of Degas Balllerine inspired quilt. Some words about making this quilt First I have choose a proper picture - as an ispiration. You need no to copy the details or the figure. Just use  as an idea, and make your own  composition. So first I choose a basic white cotton fabric- only a small size. And I use a soft kind of graphite  pencil. I simple drawn a girl figure, but try to copy the movement of a dancer, or the stand of a dancer. After that I use some textile rayon, and silk pencil, to make stronger edges. I fixed the black colours with ironing, under a sheet of porchment paper. Then I made the quilt sandwich. At this quilt I use polyesther batting, but nowadays I use cotton batting at small quilts. My newest project is a heron quilt. As I am living countryside, close to the river, here are so many kind of birds, like heron as well. As nature is a part of our life , it is my aim to make fiber art with this theme: Method: fabric paint, silk paint applicated silk scraps, fiber, yarn, confetti-technic, and some beading, thread painting. This is a working progress project, I am still working on this piece. Madaras quilt, vízpart, madárfészek, nádas, folyó témák amik láthatóak a quilten. Folyópart mellett élve elmaradhatatlan hogy ez ne jelenjen meg valamilyen formában egy-egy quilten. Felhasznált technika: textilfestés, selyem szalag applikálás, festés, tűfestés, gyapjúszál és fonal applikálása, gyöngyvarrás, stb.

Here is a tutorial, how do I make this postcard fiber art 1. choose a basic beige fabric, size 24x27 cm, appr. 2.Cut two semi-atumn colour-scale fabric 3.Add this to the basic, with simple sewing, with sewing machine. 4. Choose several earth tone fabric scraps, and add to the attached autumn colour printed  fabric, in the bottom. 5. Cut out a round shape beige, and flowery prited fabric and add to the top right side of the fabric. 5. The reindeer: I draw it first on a fabric, and cut it out, and attached to the toped   the hill. 6. I chang the colour of the yarn: a darker brown, and do tree and brushes and other grasses. 7. Finally I use textil rayon, wax, to colour the two tree in the middle of the picture. 8. I do the edges with raw edge with sewing machine.
