My newest project is a heron quilt. As I am living countryside, close to the river, here are so many kind of birds, like heron as well. As nature is a part of our life , it is my aim to make fiber art with this theme: Method: fabric paint, silk paint applicated silk scraps, fiber, yarn, confetti-technic, and some beading, thread painting. This is a working progress project, I am still working on this piece. Madaras quilt, vízpart, madárfészek, nádas, folyó témák amik láthatóak a quilten. Folyópart mellett élve elmaradhatatlan hogy ez ne jelenjen meg valamilyen formában egy-egy quilten. Felhasznált technika: textilfestés, selyem szalag applikálás, festés, tűfestés, gyapjúszál és fonal applikálása, gyöngyvarrás, stb.

Here is a tutorial, how do I make this postcard fiber art 1. choose a basic beige fabric, size 24x27 cm, appr. 2.Cut two semi-atumn colour-scale fabric 3.Add this to the basic, with simple sewing, with sewing machine. 4. Choose several earth tone fabric scraps, and add to the attached autumn colour printed  fabric, in the bottom. 5. Cut out a round shape beige, and flowery prited fabric and add to the top right side of the fabric. 5. The reindeer: I draw it first on a fabric, and cut it out, and attached to the toped   the hill. 6. I chang the colour of the yarn: a darker brown, and do tree and brushes and other grasses. 7. Finally I use textil rayon, wax, to colour the two tree in the middle of the picture. 8. I do the edges with raw edge with sewing machine.

Miniature art quilt, about atumn nature: I use small scraps for this small size quilt. Mainly use earth tones: linen, and cotton fabrics. I use white and brown yarn, to give caracter to the trees. Egy kellemes őszi kirándulás emlékeként született meg ez a mini quilt. Főként natúr  színű textileket használtam hozzá, és fehér ill barna cérnát a tűzéshez.

This quilt was made of a memory of an autumn journey to Vienna. We visited the Hundertwasser- house, and it was a great impression. I decided to make some quilt : this is the first one: Ez a mini quilt egy őszi kirándulás emlékeként készült. Bécsben jártunk, megnéztük a Hundertwasser- házat. Nagyon szép, organikus épület, rendhagyó és figyelemfelkeltő. Elhatároztam, hogy készítek pár quiltet. Ez az első darab.

 Újabb textilképek készültek az elmúlt időszakban: Az egyik: New art quilts were born recently. This is one of my favourites- Waterlillies, inspired by Monet Waterlillies series. Handpainted, free-motion quilted I use a white canvas, and layers of fabric paint - added gradually. I fixed the paint after drying, with hot ironing under porchment paper. I made the three layers, top, batting, and back, and made the quilting. I use green and black yarn, for leaves and curly motiffs. .  Izland- mivel a korábban készített Izland Quilt már elkelt, gondoltam elkészítem ennek a festett verzióját. Viszonylag nagyobb méretű festményt készítettem, akrillal, színében hasonló,mint a quilt-en használt színek, és a gejzírek, hőforrások is megjelentek, az Aurora Borealis mellett. As the Iceland fiber art Quilt is Sold last year, I decided to make a painting with this theme. This is a larger painting with acrilyc. I use similar colours as I have used on my quilt. Some hot pots, and Aurora Borealis also can be seen in the picture. Available in Saatchi Art Online gallery.  Hímzett övtáska, vagy kisebb válltáska. Záródása bőr gomb, ami SK, szintén.  Ezen a fotón talán nem látszik, hogy milyen szép is ez a madaras hímzés. A táska három rétegű,  belül vatelinnel bélelt, és a belső bélése molino. This is an embroidered birdy bag. The bag is padded and lined with molino. Available in my Etsy shop.

Nemrég megvásárolták az egyik madaras textilképemet. Nagyon örültem neki, hogy Éva ezt a kis képet választotta. Bízom benne, hogy örömmel fogják használni. Ez egyben lehetőséget nyitott számomra újabb mini art quilt készítésére. A mostani quilt is madaras, amit nem kézzel festettem, mint az előző darabot, hanem hímzőgéppel három kis papagájt hímeztem a textilre, majd megfestettem az alapot körülötte, több színű, kevert festékkel. Ezután felkerültek az indák, levelek és kis termések a textilre. Majd elkészítettem a quilt sandwichet és az előre rajzolt vonalak mentén tűztem. Végül kis fagyöngyökkel díszítettem, így lett 3D. I show some  quilts, I made with handpainting. The first one is a small size quilt, made with silk paint, and added free motion quilting stitches. I use only black thread, outline the elements, and create the ornaments, and figures, as house, and plants, tree etc. Available here:  This quilt is bigger size: 70x40 cm. I embroidered with embroidery machine some hungarian folk flowers, on a hand dyed base (green) And stitched with free motion quilting stitches. The quilt is called: Ancient garden.

Már régebben készítettem ezt a típusú táskát, most úgy néz ki ismét van rá igény :) Az előoldalon levő virágokat nem a szokásos piros pöttyös textilből készítettem, hanem türkiz virágos, és kék (navy csíkos ) változatban. Elérhető itt

I made this quilt recently. Tell you the truth I have still some work to do. Some words about my method: First I have a plan in my mind. I use simple shapes if you see, circle as tree, and small rectangle, triangle as house, and a vertical arranged base as a small lake, and ground, and bushes. I planned it ahead.  Colours: this is the first time I use silk painting, on canvas.  Normally I use textile painting on simple white cotton canvas, but I like experiments, so I chose another one, and a stronger kind of canvas- normally we use it as cushion insert cover. Unfortunately I dont know the name of this canvas in english.  So I use fused colours, or we can call it mixed on the canvas. I let dry for 24 hours, and fixed it with iron under porchment paper, then I make the quilt sandwich. Following step is free motion quilting. I build up the picture with this last step.
